Is heaven really our home and are we getting ready for our eternal destiny or are we just letting that happen as life comes our way, and never putting any effect into planning for our eternal life?
You might say, “I received eternal life when I accepted Jesus Christ both as my Lord and Saviour.” Every king has a kingdom and there are ways that his kingdom operates. So if you want to be great, learn to become the servant of all (Mark 10:43-45). “As you have done it to the least of my children you have done it to Me” (see Matt 25:31-46).
Hearing His Word and doing it is what James talks about and without that outworking our faith is dead (James 2:14-26).
If we are serious about doing God’s will and purpose for our lives, planning for the greatest trip we will ever undertake is not a dirty word.
We plan for weddings, children, homes where we work and where we go for holidays, so shouldn’t we also plan for eternity as far as our part is concerned? Rev 19:5-9
