I was reading a verse form Isaiah 65:17 this morning - “For behold I create a new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind”
When we become a new creation in Christ, old things pass away; behold all things become new (2 Cor 5:17). Isn’t it wonderful that God’s Word tells us that we should change so much that all things should become new and not be remembered or practiced any longer or come to mind. This should be a real challenge to us in our daily walk with the Holy Spirit teaching us and changing us and convicting us to be the new creation that He is making us to be (John 16:8-15; Phil 2:12,13; Eph 4:17-28)
God is at work in us - make no mistake, however that does not absolve us from responsibility where Paul says so clearly to put away lying. In other words - don’t lie, don’t steal any longer, but work. In Col 3:5-17 Paul tells us to put to death the old things of the flesh and to put on the wonderful new things of the Spirit.
Let us do these things together as we walk in His ways.
