I was thinking along these lines with regard to our healing and something struck me. We naturally drift into our learned responses when something happens. When we are sick we go to the Doctor and explain what is wrong with us. We complain to people about how bad we feel. When we pray, we often ask to be healed.
1 Peter 2:24 says by His stripes you were healed. This is one of the areas we need to change our thinking. We don’t need to ask when it comes to our healing. If we already are healed, then when we experience symptoms of illness, what we are really experience is Satan trying to steal our health from us. What is more, we have been given the authority to deal with him, so there is no need to ask for healing, we have the authority to demand that Satan leave our health alone.
In what areas of our Spiritual walk with Christ
do we need to change our thinking? If God said he would bless us; If God said He would meet our needs, and if Jesus even declared that He came to preach the acceptable year of the Lord (or the Jubilee), then how does that apply to me, and how does our thinking need to change?
Have a totally wonderful and thought provoking week…
