The past week has been a challenge and a joy serving God. Walking in the truth that sets us free (John 8:32 and Rom 5:5) and in the love that has been shed abroad in our hearts makes us the agents of change that will be the catalyst to bring about a great influence to the society that we live in.
First it’s the truth of Jesus Christ that sets us free as He is the only One who is able to open the door to our Father in heaven. Our faith is in Him and the finished work of the cross and Him being raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit (Rom 8:11). He now wants to work through you and I, declaring Christ to a dying world through the many ways that He makes available to us:
In word - both in preaching and by being encouraging in the things that we say, not being ashamed of the Gospel of Christ Rom 1:16,17.
In deed - in the many facets of life that we can serve in helping people out physically - in loving deeds; spiritually - in praying for them, healing them, casting out demons (freely you have received, freely give); mentally - helping people in good healthy relationships , sowing words of life.
In example - letting our light shine (Matt 5:16) by the way that we live, by the way that we conduct ourselves, always having this in our hearts and minds that we do what we do as unto Him, doing it heartily knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance.
Thank you Lord, Amen! (Col 3:23,24)
